  • Can I comfortably hike 10-15 kilometers on mountainous terrain for several days with weight on my back?

What is the currency in Turkey?

In Turkey, payments are made with the Turkish Lira. ATMs are widely available, and debit cards are accepted almost everywhere. So there's no need to exchange money in advance.

A common misconception is that it would be beneficial to pay (in cash) with euros. However, this is not the case. Generally, an unfavorable exchange rate is applied when paying with euros. Therefore, we recommend paying with your card or with Turkish Lira.

What kind of climate does Cappadocia have?

Cappadocia has a continental climate, with warm dry summers and cold snowy winters. Although you might expect it to be much warmer in Cappadocia than in coastal cities like Istanbul, that's not the case. This is because the area is quite high, at 1000 meters above sea level. The average daytime temperature in May is around 20 °C and rises to 28 °C in July.
